Inspired by the song Punk Rock Heaven, this video tells the story of a group of teenagers running away from home. Filmed over the course of two afternoons and one evening, the result was several hours of footage. In the end, a goldmine of poignant and humorous moments were cut down to less than three minutes. The editing process challenged me to determine the scenes and sequence that best told the story. The decision to speed up the motion to match the tempo of the song not only added to the whimsicality of the adventure, but also allowed me to include more of the tale than would have been possible otherwise.

This video won Honorable Mention at Thomas Nelson Community College's Student Film Festival in 2008.
